Dr. Najm formerly
served as technical manager with T.Y. Lin International, one of the
leaders in prestressed concrete bridges, in Boston,
Massachusetts, where he worked on the 12 billion dollar Central
Artery/Tunnel Project. He has considerable experience in seismic design of
drilled caisson and precast piles, detailing, and construction engineering. Other projects Dr. Najm has managed
included the vessel-impact design for the
Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Washington, D.C., and the seismic design of the Route 170 Bridge near
Charleston, South
Carolina. He is
a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts, New York, and California.
