Course Overview: This presentation focuses on the two types of special protections that are afforded to homeowners and renters within their living quarters: AFCI & GFCI protection. While GFCIs are commonplace, the NEC changes the rules regarding the areas that require this critical protection frequently. AFCIs are a newer technology and the NEC has once again expanded the areas that must have this high-tech circuit monitoring. The student can expect to understand the new rules that apply to dwelling units as they pertain to these safety devices that the 2014 NEC requires. |
