Over the past two decades Delaware's economy has changed considerably as it shifts away from the 20th century cornerstones of "chemicals, cars, chickens and credit cards". The state has reacted with a number of recent initiatives, including the formation an economic development agency, the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, in an effort to streamline and improve the development process. What do these economic changes mean for Delaware and how will they impact real estate now and in the near future?

Join ULI Philadelphia’s Delaware Regional Council to discuss how real estate professionals are leveraging these strategic initiatives for growth. The first discussion will feature a fireside chat between Allison Kerwin, Group Manager, Administrative Vice President Commercial Real Estate, M&T Bank and Ariel Gruswitz, Director of Innovation, Delaware Prosperity Partnership, on what industries are looking to land in Delaware and how these trends are playing out in the built environment.

Our panel will then provide a development update and explore how different sectors and regions of the state are responding to the changes. Speakers include:
  •  Moderator: Sara Toner, Chair of Richards, Layton & Finger's Real Estate Group
  • Preston Schell, Chairman & CEO, Ocean Atlantic Companies
  • Robert Wittig, Partner, DSM Commercial
  • Jeff Zygler, Partner, Dermody Properties
