Dear LTAP Users,
Join LTAP for the Trail Crossings: Signs, Markings, and Lights Virtual Drop-in on Thursday, May 21, from Noon to 12:45 p.m. REGISTER HERE
During this session, we will discuss where multi-use trails cross roadways, and the related signs, markings, and other features that can be applied. Trail crossings are often in mid-block locations where motorists may not expect people to be crossing a roadway. This can be worsened by high speeds and multiple lanes on the roadways. We will discuss different trail crossing treatments, and what your experiences with these different treatments are for safety, effectiveness, and maintenance. Common treatments include pavement markings, warning signs, flashing warning devices, and physical features. Share what has worked on your roads and learn from your peers.
This is a new series of weekly LTAP Virtual Drop-ins centered on various safety and maintenance topics. These sessions are not virtual classes; they are informal 30-45-minute live sessions focused on networking and sharing information with other municipal roadway personnel. Whether you’re new to the virtual world or have lots of experience, you will enjoy meeting up online with LTAP staff and other municipal staff to learn and discuss information critical to your job.
LTAP staff will start the session with a short presentation and then open the discussion to attendees to ask questions and share their experiences. LTAP will guide the discussion to keep it focused and accurate.
Be a part of this NEW virtual learning experience from LTAP. Sign up today!
