This session is being provided to introduce you to a new "tool" to assist you in maintaining your streets and roadways. The use of Hot Pour Mastics (HPM), similar to crack sealing, can extend the useful life of your pavements. This session will explain the when, where, and how this material can be used. PennDOT and industry panelists will be on hand to answer your questions and provide examples of how this material has been used to repair various pavement distress.
This is a new series of weekly LTAP Virtual Drop-ins centered on various safety and maintenance topics. These sessions are not virtual classes; they are informal one-hour live sessions focused on networking and sharing information with other municipal roadway personnel. Whether you’re new to the virtual world or have lots of experience, you will enjoy meeting up online with LTAP staff and other municipal staff to learn and discuss information critical to your job.
LTAP staff will start the session with a short presentation and then open the discussion to attendees to ask questions and share their experiences. LTAP will guide the discussion to keep it focused and accurate.
Note: The Drop-ins are not eligible for Roads Scholar credits.
