Course Overview: The most common and important rules regarding commercial wiring systems will be covered during this course. Students will be brought up to speed on GFCI and AFCI rules. Romex uses will be reviewed along with the more common EMT, PVC and rigid conduit installations. Partial list of subjects to be covered includes branch circuit ampacity and conductor sizing, HVAC and refrigeration disconnect rules, box and raceway sizing, feeders and voltage drop, safety clothing and safe working methods, required power outlets and lighting outlets, transformer installations, luminaire retrofits, LED lighting, separately derived systems and more.
