Dr. Calabria has more than forty years of experience in the construction industry and engineering consulting. He earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in geotechnical/geo-environmental engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA, and Doctorate in Civil Engineering] from University of Salford, Manchester, UK. Dr. Calabria has worked on projects in Asia, the Middle East, various European countries, Canada, the Caribbean, as well as more than fifteen states and territories in the continental USA. Dr. Calabria is a Registered Professional Engineer in PA, DE, NJ, and WV. Dr. Calabria served as a technical consultant with Apex Companies, LLC, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Partner, where he assisted with the implementation of PennDOT’s Strategic Recycling Program (SRP). The SRP
supports the use of recycled materials in highway applications through recycled materials research, specifications development,contracting support, demonstration projects and outreach efforts. Dr. Calabria has been engaged as an adjunct Professor in the Engineering Geology Program at Drexel University, Widener University, and as an adjunct lecturer in Earth and Environmental Science Department, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Calabria is currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Salford, Manchester, UK.
