Course Overview: This class will review the minimum code requirements for heating/ventilation/air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment installations. The focus will be on proper installation practices for residential projects including clearances for equipment servicing and electrical code compliance. A review of related provisions for compliance with the adopted energy codes will be covered as well as significant changes going into effect in Pennsylvania in the first quarter of 2022. Applicable codes: 2015 International Residential Code, 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC ®), 2015 International Energy Conservation Code.
