Course Overview:

This presentation will provide an in-depth view of selected terms, and their associated code definitions, commonly used in the electrical industry. Often, everyday words and terms differ from their definitions used in the applicable codes. A “bathroom” as defined in the electrical code may have a different definition than what you may think. This can lead to misapplication of a code provision and installations which may not be compliant. In order to understand and apply certain code provisions to installations, an understanding of defined terms is essential.

Applicable codes:  2017 National Electrical Code (NEC ®), 2018 International Residential Code (IRC®)
