The New York City Panel on Climate Change (NPCC) is New York City’s independent advisory body that synthesizes scientific information on climate change to inform City policy. Formed in 2009 and codified in Local Law 42 of 2012, NPCC’s mandate is to provide an authoritative and actionable source of scientific information on future climate change and its potential impacts. NPCC4, the fourth assessment since inception, will be published in 2024.
