Fairmount Water Works 640 Water Works Drive Philadelphia, PA 19130 Presented by Drew Brown (Environmental Engineer) PWD's Director of Public Education The tour/educational activity, with its unique, late summer view of the ever-changing Schuylkill River, will explore a living science laboratory and describe the science and technology behind the hatchery and demonstrate the ecological benefits of fresh water mussel restoration in improving the health of our waterways. Although customized for engineers, this activity will be very much enjoyed by anyone. The tour is intended to meet the requirements for 1.0 Professional Development Hour for continuing education “activity” requirements in NY, PA, NJ and National Model States.
