Volunteers needed for SWE/Widener University Engineering Girls Camp, February 9, 2019 The 2019 SWE/Widener University Engineering Girls Camp for high school girls has been scheduled for Saturday February 9 at the Widener University campus in Chester, PA (off I-95 at the bottom of the Blue Route, a few miles south of the Philadelphia airport). The camp runs from 9 AM to 4 PM, with 2 laboratory sessions in the morning followed by a break for lunch and panel discussions, and concluding with 2 laboratory sessions in the afternoon. The camp is an opportunity for high school girls interested in science and math to explore engineering careers in a hands-on laboratory setting with women engineers from SWE and female engineering students and alumni from Widener University. There is a separate Parents Program that runs concurrently with the Girls Camp. More information about the camp is available at www.widener.edu/engineering/girlscamp. Please volunteer to help out with a lab for this year's camp, which is in its 20th year! All the labs are fairly simple and straightforward and there will be Widener students helping you. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LABS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PUT TOGETHER, SO YOUR PREP TIME PRIOR TO THE CAMP IS MINIMAL. If you can't be available all day, consider volunteering for either the morning or the afternoon sessions. To volunteer, please register on-line at https://form.jotform.com/53623695291967
