The FHWA Office of Safety invites you to attend a free webinar on May 16 from 1:00-2:30 pm ET.
Title: Taking Action to Reduce Rural Roadway Departures Systemically
Target Audience: Decision makers from rural agencies and tribes and anyone else who is interested in the topic
Purpose: Learn why it is important for you to take action in reducing roadway departures and what you can do.
Presenters:
Cate Satterfield, FHWA Office of Safety, will discuss why it is important for every agency to accept the call to action on this important safety issue.
Rick Tippett, Trinity County, California, will discuss how the systemic approach is the way to make cost-effective improvements to reduce the likelihood of future crashes.
Victor Lund, St. Louis County, Minnesota will discuss how they have used a local road safety plan to guide them in improvements that have reduced crashes on the county system.
